INTERNATIONAL EVENING 2026
What an amazing international evening!
What an evening! Those that attended last Friday to come together and celebrate our international links had a brilliant time. The savoury food that everyone generously contributed looked, smelt and tasted amazing! There really wasn’t much left at all before the entertainment began! The cake and dessert table was equally wonderful and extremely tempting! The hall and dining room were beautifully decorated with flags and tablecloths from across the world.
The entertainment was opened by our own very enthusiastic dance club led Giselle, their teacher, and they performed some great dance moves with choreography that they have been practicing hard in their club this year.

Next, Ms Kotecha from Year 2, and her Bollywood Dance group gave us some wonderful dances showing many different styles of this energetic traditional dance style.Indian Dancing - INTERNATIONAL EVENING 2026
Moving away from dance, we were next entertained by an amazing African Drummer, Seneke from Mbilla Arts who are based at The Crate - he is a Guinness World record holder. He had everyone joining in, up on their feet and dancing. Some children even joining him on the drums in a joyous, riotous display of drumming.African Drumming - INTERNATIONAL EVENING 2026
Continuing down the music route, Mr Chiriac, one of our parents, then displayed his skills on his accordion playing some traditional Romanian music which everyone enjoyed dancing, or at least toe tapping, to!

Some of our Karate Club, along with some more experienced students from Sensei Trisha’s own club, were next and performed the moves that they have learned during their lessons. They were extremely controlled and disciplined in their actions, clearly enjoying what they have learnt.Japanese Karate - INTERNATIONAL EVENING 2026
Everyone loved the Chingford Morris Dancers who brought this energetic form of traditional English folk dance, which dates back to the 15th century, to the evening. The Dancers were heard before they were seen due to the bell pads on their shins that jingled as they moved. We also got to see the Morris Minors (the newer part of the group) and they were all wonderfully accompanied by their traditional instruments.

The evening was rounded off by some very sparkly, and talented Irish dancers from the Rachel Downey School of Irish Dance. They really impressed us with their fast footwork, rigid upper bodies, and high-energy dancing to traditional Irish music.
